Office Hours in Highlands, NC

We are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Appointments can be made by arrangement at other times and days including Saturday. Video Teleconferences as well as other consultation types generally adhere to the same time schedule.

Consultation Fees

We charge a flat fee for purely Cosmetic consultations. Some or all of this may be deducted from the charge of any scheduled procedure or major purchase. All follow-up evaluations and care in the office related to a procedure are included in the initial surgical fee. Reconstructive consultations are charged regular office visit fees. Though we contract only with Medicare, we are happy to bill your insurance company for these. Again, all follow-up evaluations and care for a specified time, depending on the procedure, are included in the surgical fee. Medicare and most insurance companies now also pay for Telehealth, digital and phone visits the same as regular visits.

Financial Information

We take VISA, Master Card, Discover, American Express, cash, and checks.

Financing is available through Care Credit®.

In Office Consultations

Cosmetic & Medical: Initial consultations vary depending on the reason you are being seen. When you first arrive, you will be greeted and introduced to the office. We will then check your vital signs and past medical history, following which Dr. Buchanan will then take the time to get to know your needs and desires. He will then perform an examination to determine what is possible for you. After this, he will tell you what is possible and what the expected outcome is as well as the risks and complications of each alternative. You will then have a chance to discuss each alternative to decide what fits your needs, including your time and monetary constraints, best. From this discussion, you and Dr. Buchanan will determine a plan that will meet your requirements. We will then work with you to implement this plan. Other types of consults will follow a similar pattern.

Medi-Spa: Initial Spa visits will include an introduction to the office and a short medical review before taking you to your relaxing Spa Room for your luxurious treatment.
